Weezer BIO

Weezer

Formed back in 1992, Weezer is a rock band from Los Angeles, CA consisting of current band members Rivers Cuomo (vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums),  Brian Bell (guitar, backing vocals) and Scott Shriner (bass, backing vocals).  In 1994, Weezer released their self-titled debut album (aka The Blue Album) which contained the hit singles "Undone - The Sweater Song", "Buddy Holly", and "Say It Ain't So".  The album was a certified triple platinum success having sold over 3 million copies in the U.S.  After Weezer experienced some disappointing sales from their second 1996 album Pinkerton with singles such as "El Scorcho" and "The Good Life", the band took a much needed break.  Weezer would make a huge comeback with another self-titled album (aka The Green Album) in 2001 with a string of successful hits such as "Hash Pipe", "Island in the Sun" and "Photograph".  Weezer would follow up that success with the album Maladroit the following year which contained the singles "Dope Nose" and "Keep Fishin'".  In 2005, Weezer returned to their platinum selling ways with the album Make Believe which was an overwhelming success with chart-topping singles such as "Beverly Hills" and "Perfect Situation".  Fans would have to wait for a couple of years for Weezer's 2008 self-titled album (aka The Red Album) but were rewarded for their patience with the release of three singles off the new album, "Pork and Beans", "Troublemaker" and "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived".  It did not take long for Weezer to release their seventh studio album Raditude (2009) and the hit single "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To".
