Vin Diesel BIO

At the age of seven, Vin Diesel (born Mark Sinclair Vincent on July 18th, 1967) and some of his friends were caught breaking into a local New York theater with the intent to vandalize the place, but fortunately for Vin and his fans, the theater director offered them parts in the upcoming play instead of punishment.  Vin Diesel's first movie role was playing a hospital orderly in the 1990 drama, Awakenings.  He then took his career in his own hands by directing and starring in his own productions such as the semi-autobiographical short film, Multi-Facial (1994), as well as the feature film, Strays (1997), which was selected into competition at the Sundance Film Festival.  Steven Spielberg took notice of Vin's talent and cast him as Private Adrian Caparzo in 1998's Saving Private Ryan.  Vin Diesel would become a household name with his breakthrough role as Richard B. Riddick in Pitch Black (2000) and its sequel The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).  Vin Diesel would also flex his box-office muscles with the hit actioners The Fast and the Furious (2001) and xXx (2002) before showing his softer side in the family comedy The Pacifier (2005).  Vin Diesel has several huge projects coming down the pipeline such as the big-budget sci-fi actioner, Babylon A.D. in 2008 and a 4th installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise in 2009.
