Prior to his pursuit of an acting career, Tom Welling (born April 26th, 1977) started out as a model for ad campaigns such as Abercrombie & Fitch and Tommy Hilfiger.  In 2001, Tom Welling found his way onto several TV shows such as playing a karate teacher on the CBS series "Judging Amy" and small roles on UPN's "Special Unit 2" and Fox's "Undeclared".  Tom Welling's biggest break came when he was cast in the coveted role of Clark Kent in the long-running television series "Smallville" opposite Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang and Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor.  The success of the show led to Tom Welling being named one of People magazine's Breakthrough Stars of 2001 and garnered him a Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout Star (Male).  In 2003, Tom Welling played the role of Charlie Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen alongside an ensemble cast including Steve Martin and Hilary Duff.  In 2005, he would reprise his role as Charlie Baker once again in the sequel, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, as well as play the role of Nick Castle in the horror remake, The Fog.  Along with starring in his incredible 9th season of the hit CW series, Tom Welling's latest project is the television movie event Smallville: Absolute Justice (2010).
