Taylor Swift BIO

Taylor-Swift

Taylor Swift (born December 13th, 1989) represents the next generation of country music singer/songwriters with her unique and youthful perspective that has the entire world of country asking for more.  Growing up on a farm in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, she began writing and singing at karaoke contests, festivals and county fairs as early as the age of 10.  Taylor Swift eventually began taking regular trips to Nashville to raise some exposure for herself in hopes of landing a record deal.   At the age of 14, when Taylor Swift performed at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, she caught the attention of music-industry veteran Scott Borchetta, who signed her to the new label, Big Machine Records.  The result was the 2006 release of Taylor Swift's self-titled debut album to great success.  Eventually peaking at the number one position on the Billboard Top Country Albums, the album has the spurned the hit singles "Tim McGraw", "Teardrops on My Guitar", "Our Song" and "Should've Said No".  In 2007, Taylor Swift released an exclusive holiday album to Target stores entitled, Sounds of the Season, which included such classics as "Silent Night" and "Last Christmas".  Taylor Swift returned to the recording studio and has come back with a string of hit singles off her top-selling 2008 Fearless album including "Change", "Love Story", "Fearless" and "White Horse".
