Taking Back Sunday BIO

Taking-Back-Sunday

Taking Back Sunday is an alternative rock band from Amityville, Long Island, New York consisting of current members Adam Lazzara (vocals), Matt Fazzi (guitar and vocals), Eddie Reyes (guitar), Mark OConnell (drums) and Matt Rubano (bass).  Since their formation in 1999, Taking Back Sunday has survived a revolving door of band members, which for most bands would spell their demise, but has somehow spurned growth for this resilient band.  Taking Back Sunday's first album in 2002, Tell All Your Friends, was a modest success with singles such as "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team)" and "You're So Last Summer".  The band's popularity grew substantially when they opened for Blink-182 and co-headlined the Vans Warped Tour in 2004 which led to a successful release of their second album Where You Want to Be with the singles "A Decade Under the Influence" and "This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)".  In 2006, Taking Back Sunday continued their rise with the release of their third album Louder Now which contained hit singles such as "MakeDamnSure" and "Liar (It Takes One to Know One)".  Fans of Taking Back Sunday would have to wait until 2009 for the release of their next album New Again with the first released single being the hit "Sink Into Me".
