Scarlett Johansson BIO

Scarlett Johansson (born November 22nd, 1984) represents Hollywood's new generation of leading ladies with her classic beauty and sultry voice gracing the big screen in films such as Woody Allen's Match Point (2005) to Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia (2006).  Scarlett Johansson was placed on Hollywood's radar when she landed the role of Grace MacLean in the Robert Redford directed The Horse Whisperer in 1998.  Although she would later receive widespread attention for her role opposite Thora Birch in the teen-angst dramedy, Ghost World (2001), it would not compare to the media-frenzy she would generate from her Golden Globe nominated performance in the Sofia Coppola directed Lost in Translation (2003).  Scarlett Johansson further developed her craft by taking on the challenging projects such as Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003), A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004), The Island (2005) and The Prestige (2006).  Scarlett Johansson's current projects include The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) with Natalie Portman, the Woody Allen film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and The Spirit (2008) with Eva Mendes.   Scarlett has also ventured into a music career with the release of her debut album entitled Anywhere I Lay My Head, with the first single to hit the airwaves being "Falling Down".
