Rihanna (born February 20th, 1988) is a pop/R&B singer that was signed by Def-Jam Records at the age of 15 when a copy of her music got in the hands of Jay-Z.    In 2005, Rihanna released her debut album, Music of the Sun, with her first single "Pon de Replay" reaching all the way up the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart to the number two position followed by her second single "If It's Lovin' That You Want".  Rihanna would find a tremendous amount of success with her sophmore album, A Girl Like Me, which produced her first number one hit single, "SOS", as well as a Billboard Music Award for Hot Dance Airplay Song of the Year.  The album would also churn out a string of hits such as "Unfaithful", "We Ride" and "Break It Off" with Sean Paul.  Rihanna would continue her streak of chart-topping music with her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, which produced yet another number one single with "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z and an American Music Award for Favorite Female Artist - Soul/R&B.  The album would continue to pump out hit single after hit single such as "Shut Up and Drive", "Don't Stop The Music", "Hate That I Love You" with Ne-Yo, "Take a Bow", "Disturbia" and "Rehab".  After a heavily publicized domestic dispute with her former boyfriend, R&B artist Chris Brown, Rihanna released her fourth studio album Rated R (2009), along with the hit singles "Russian Roulette", "Hard" (featuring Young Jeezy) and "Rude Boy".
