Nickelback BIO

Nickelback

Nickelback is a Canadian rock band comprised of current members Chad Kroger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair.  The name of the band came from the phrase "Here's you nickel back" which Mike Kroeger would routinely say as a former Starbuck's employee when providing customers their change.  After self-releasing their first albums Hersher and The Curb back in 1996, Nickelback signed with Roadrunner Records and released their 1999 album The State with the singles "Leader of Men", "Old Enough" and "Breathe".  In 2001, Nickelback's popularity exploded with their album Silver Side Up and the hit singles "How You Remind Me", "Too Bad" and "Never Again".  Nickeback continued their march up the music charts with their 2003 album The Long Road and a string of hit singles such as "Someday", "Figured You Out", "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good" and "Because of You".  Their most successful album would come in 2005 with their American Music Award winning All the Right Reasons with singles such as "Photograph", "Animals", "Far Away", "Savin' Me", "Rockstar" and "Side of a Bullet".  Fortunately for Nickelback fans, the band got back to work and produced their seventh album Dark Horse with their first released singles off the album being "Gotta Be Somebody" and "Something In Your Mouth".
