I was surprised by all the blood in Sweeney Todd too, but it was such an awkward and beautiful contrast to the songs. It was strangely romantic. Sweeney Todd was like a romantic drama meets a musical horror! Awesome!

 Sweeney Todd was a violent musical!
I was surprised at how bloody Sweeney Todd was. It was completely necessary for the story, and it made the musical portions of the movie all the more haunting! Johnny Depp was amazing as he always is!
