Miley Cyrus BIO

Miley-Cyrus

Miley Cyrus (born November 23rd, 1992), whose birth name is actually Destiny Hope Cyrus, has more than followed in her famous father's footsteps, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.  In 2003, Miley Cyrus began her acting career playing the role of Kylie on her father's television series "Doc" as well as starred in the Tim Burton directed film, Big Fish, playing the role of Young Ruthie.  Miley Cyrus received her biggest break when she was perfectly cast in Disney's "Hannah Montana" playing the television series' lead character of Miley Stewart who has an alter ego that is the pop music star Hannah Montana.  Disney also scored a home-run with the casting of Billy Ray Cyrus to play Hannah Montana's father in the series.  In 2006, Walt Disney Records released a Hannah Montana soundtrack with songs sung on the show such as "The Best of Both Worlds" and "Who Said".  The following year, a second album was released entitled Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus with the songs "See You Again" and "G.N.O. (Girl's Night Out)".  Miley Cyrus' popularity skyrocketed in 2008 with the release of her Breakout album with hit singles such as "7 Things" and "Fly on the Wall".  She also starred in the box-office smash Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour and lent her voice talents to the character of "Penny" in the animated film Bolt.  There is no ceiling for how high Miley Cyrus will climb in the Hollywood ranks with her box office conquering Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) and the coming-of-age drama The Last Song (2010).
