Mark Wahlberg (born June 5th, 1971) first made a name for himself as a rapper with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.  With an assist from his famous older brother, Donnie Wahlberg (from the boy band New Kids on the Block), Mark Wahlberg recorded the 1991 album Music for the People with the hit single "Good Vibrations".  Mark Wahlberg went on the record 1992's You Gotta Believe with the Funky Bunch as well as two collaborative albums with reggae singer Prince Ital Joe, Life in the Streets in 1994 and The Remix Album in 1995.  He would eventually make his way into a successful movie career by making his big screen debut in The Renaissance Man in 1994.  This would lead Mark Wahlberg to additional roles such as 1995's The Basketball Diaries with Leonardo Dicaprio, 1996's Fear with Reese Witherspoon and his breakthrough performance as Dirk Diggler in 1997's Boogie Nights.  Hollywood took notice of Mark Wahlberg's acting chops as he would go on to star in high profile films such The Perfect Storm (2000), The Italian Job (2003), Invincible (2006) as well as his Academy Award nominated performance in The Departed (2006).  Mark Wahlberg continued to show his versatility by starring in a diverse slate of films including the M. Night Shyamalan mystery The Happening (2008) with Zooey Deschanel, the actioner Max Payne (2008) with Mila Kunis and the Peter Jackson drama The Lovely Bones (2009) with Rachel Weisz.  In 2010, Mark Wahlberg starred in a slew of ensemble comedies including Date Night with Steve Carrell, Tina Fey and Mila Kunis and The Other Guys with Will Ferrell, Eva Mendes and Dwayne Johnson.  Mark Wahlberg has several projects coming down the pipeline including the much anticipated The Brazilian Job (2011) with Charlize Theron.
