Mariah Carey BIO

Mariah Carey (born March 27th, 1970) is a five-time Grammy Award winner and is arguably one of the most successful pop and R&B singers in the history of the music industry.   Mariah Carey would introduce herself to the world with her self-titled debut album in 1990 and the incredible string of number one singles such as "Vision of Love", "Love Takes Time", "Someday" and "I Don't Wanna Cry".  Mariah Carey would successfully release the albums Emotions (1991) and MTV Unplugged (1992) before releasing her fourth album Music Box and the runaway hits "Dreamlover", "Hero" and "Without You".  Mariah would break new ground with 1995's Daydream and yet another unstoppable release of hit singles such as "Fantasy", "One Sweet Day" and "Always Be My Baby".  In 1997, she found success once again with her album Butterfly with singles like "Honey", "My All" and "Butteryfly".  Her 1999 album Rainbow may have contained the hit "Heartbreaker" but that may have better described Mariah Carey's disappointment after the release of her film Glitter in 2001.  This resilient star would rebound with 2005's The Emancipation of Mimi and the hits "We Belong Together" and "Don't Forget About Us".  Mariah Carey fans patiently waited until 2008 for the release of her fifteenth album, E=MC², with hit singles such as "Touch My Body", "Bye-Bye", "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" and "I Stay in Love".  Fortunately for her fans, it doesn't appear that Mariah Carey plans to slow down anytime soon.  She went straight back to the studio and recorded yet another album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009) with the hit singles "Obsessed", "I Want to Know What Love Is" and "H.A.T.E.U." taking over all the airwaves around the world.  Mariah Carey's latest project is the remix album Angels Advocate (2010) which contains the singles "Up Out My Face (Remix)" featuring Nicki Minaj and "Angels Cry (Remix)" (featuring Ne-Yo).
