Kelly Clarkson BIO

Kelly-Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson (born April 24th, 1982) was the last singer standing in American Idol's first season of competition in 2002.  Shortly after winning the show, she joined her American Idol runner-up, Justin Guarini, in the ill-fated movie From Justin to Kelly.  Unaffected by the film's poor reception, Kelly Clarkson exploded onto the music charts with her 2003 debut album Thankful and the hit singles "A Moment like This", "Before Your Love" and "Miss Independent".  In 2004, Kelly Clarkson followed up her initial success with the Grammy Award winning album Breakaway which featured a more rock-oriented sound versus the pop music sound that she had started her career with.  Every song Kelly Clarkson released from the album became an instant hit which included: "Breakaway", "Since U Been Gone", "Behind These Hazel Eyes", "Because of You" and "Walk Away".  Kelly Clarkson released her second album in 2007, My December, which included the hit singles "Never Again", "Sober", "One Minute" and "Don't Waste Your Time".  Fans of Kelly Clarkson had to wait a few years for the release of her third album All I Ever Wanted (2009).  The album was well worth the wait as her first hit single "My Life Would Suck Without You" quickly rose to the top of the music charts followed by the singles "I Do Not Hook Up" and "Already Gone".  Kelly Clarkson also dabbles with her acting career as she has starred in the TV shows "American Dreams" (2003 - 2004) and "Reba" in 2007.
