After a brief stint in his late teens as a member of a two-man band named LoFi Masters, John Mayer (born October 16th, 1977) recorded the independent EP Inside Wants Out in 1999 which included the single "No Such Thing" which would be re-released on John Mayer's debut studio album in 2001, Room for Squares.  The studio album would be a huge success and also included the Grammy Award winning hit "Your Body Is a Wonderland" as well as the single "Why Georgia".  In 2003, John Mayer released his second studio album, Heavier Things, and once again found the perfect formula for commercial success as his first studio album and won a Song of the Year Grammy Award for the single "Daughters".  In 2006, John Mayer produced yet another couple of Grammy Awards, one for his album Continuum, and one for the hit single "Waiting on the World to Change".  Other notable songs on the Continuum album include "Gravity", "Dreaming with a Broken Heart" and "Say".  In 2008, John Mayer released the live album Where The Light Is with the first hit single off the album being the Tom Petty cover "Free Fallin'".  John Mayer fans would not have to wait long for his next album Battle Studies (2009) which has produced hit singles such as "Who Says" and "Heartbreak Warfare".
