Jay-Z

Jay-Z (born December 4th, 1969) is a Grammy Award winning rapper and songwriter, runs the record labels Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella records, and is a co-owner of  the New Jersey Nets basketball team.  Since Jay-Z's debut album Reasonable Doubt in 1996, Jay-Z has been producing groundbreaking albums and singles such as "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" on his 1998 album Vol. 2...Hard Knock Life.  Other notable albums include 2002's The Blueprint²: The Gift & the Curse which included the hits "Excuse Me Miss" and "03 Bonnie & Clyde" as well as 2003's The Black Album which spawned the string of hits "Encore", "What More Can I Say", "Dirt Off Your Shoulder", "Change Clothes", and "99 Problems".  Jay-Z's more recent singles include "30 Something" and "Blue Magic" from his 2007 album American Gangster as well as the hit singles "Swagga Like Us", "Jockin' Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh)" and "Run This Town" from his latest album The Blueprint 3 (2009).  In April of 2008, Jay-Z finally married his long-time love Beyonce Knowles whom he has had several music collaborations with including her hit single "Crazy in Love".
