George Lopez (born April 23rd, 1961) turned his tough childhood memories into a successful career as a standup comedian, a popular TV sitcom star and a Hollywood movie actor. In the 1980s, George Lopez toured the country with his comedy act in clubs and television, gaining a reputation for his unique humor surrounding the Mexican-American experience. In 1996, George Lopez released the comedy album Alien Nation and later released the string of albums Right Now Right Now (2001), Team Leader (2003), El Mas Chingon (2006) and America's Mexican (2007). From 2002 - 2007, George Lopez starred in the TV sitcom the George Lopez show which had an amazing run of 118 episodes. George Lopez has since starred in movies such as Robert Rodriquez's The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D (2005) and the ping-pong comedy Balls of Fury (2007). In 2008, George Lopez starred in a diverse slate of films including the comedy Swing Vote with Kevin Costner, the drama Henry Poole Is Here with Luke Wilson and lent his voice talents for Beverly Hills Chihuahua. George Lopez's current projects include the family drama Shannon's Rainbow (2009) and the comedy The Richest Man in the World (2010).
