Daughtry BIO

Daughtry

Daughtry is a rock band created by Chris Daughtry (born December 26th, 1979), a popular former contestant on American Idol's fourth season who finished in fourth place on the show behind Elliott Yamin, Katharine McPhee and the eventual winner Taylor Hicks.  Following his surprise departure on the show, Chris Daughtry would turn down an offer to become the lead singer of the band Fuel, and would instead form Daughtry shortly after signing with 19 Entertainment and RCA Records.  The other members of the band include Brian Craddock (rhythm guitar, vocals), Josh Steely (lead guitar), Josh Paul (bass guitar, vocals), and Joey Barnes (drums, percussion vocals).   In 2006, their self-titled debut album, DAUGHTRY, reached the top of billboard's charts and sold more than four million copies.  Daughtry's hit singles include  "It's Not Over", "Over You", "What I Want", "Home", "Crashed", "Feels Like Tonight" and "What About Now".  In 2009, Daughtry proved that their initial success was no fluke by releasing their second hit album entitled Leave This Town with hit singles such as "No Surprise" and "Life After You".
