Colbie Caillat BIO

Colbie Caillat (born in 1985) is a singer/songwriter with an acoustic based sound, but whose style has jazz, classic folk, and pop influences throughout.  Her recent surge in popularity can be directly attributed to the power of social networking.  In January of 2007, Colbie Caillat began posting her songs such as "Bubbly" on Myspace, and before she knew it, she was being labeled as one of the top female artists on the site.  Her Myspace profile has garnered over 17 million plays and counting.  Colbie Caillat signed with the label Universal Republic, and her debut album Coco contains the hit single that made her famous, "Bubbly", as well as the tracks "The Little Things" and "Realize".  Due to her newfound fanbase that was hungry for more, Colbie Caillat toured with the Goo Goo Golls to appease the demand for her music.  Determined to prove that she had much more to bring to the music world, Colbie Caillat went straight back to the recording studio to work on her sophmore effort.  The result was another hit album Breakthrough (2009) with the first released single off the album being "Fallin' For You".
