Black Eyed Peas BIO

Black-Eyed-Peas-1

The Black Eyed Peas is a highly successful, Grammy Award winning hip-hop group comprised of the following members: will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie.  In 1998, The Black Eyed Peas released their first album, Behind the Front, followed by their second album, Bridging the Gap, in 2000.  The Black Eyed Peas became a staple on the music charts in 2003 with the release of their third album, Elephunk.  This breakout album spurned the hit singles, "Where is the Love?" (with Justin Timberlake) and "Hey Mama".  Another single off the Elephunk album, the Grammy Award winning "Let's Get it Started", received worldwide attention from its use as the theme to the NBA finals.  Their second album, Monkey Business, was released in 2005 and once again was a huge commercial success with the Grammy Award winning singles "Don't Phunk with My Heart" and "My Humps" as well as the hits "Don't Lie" and "Pump It".  After taking a much needed break, The Black Eyed Peas returned to the top of the music charts in 2009 with the release of their much anticipated album The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies) and the mega-hit singles "Boom Boom Pow", "I Got A Feeling" and "Meet Me Halfway".  Not to anyone's surprise, the success of The Black Eyed Peas has also led both Fergie and will.i.am to chart-topping solo careers of their own.
