Avril Lavigne (born September 27th, 1984) is a Canadian born singer of pop-rock/punk music who continually pumps out record-breaking hit albums and singles.  Her multi-platinum debut album in 2002, Let Go, produced the top ten singles, "Complicated", "Sk8er Boi", and "I'm with You" and garnered a total of eight Grammy Award nominations.  Avril Lavigne's second album, Under My Skin (2004), was just as big of a success.  It received countless awards and accolades for containing hit singles such as "Don't Tell Me" and "My Happy Ending".  Avril Lavigne has continued to solidify herself as a hit machine.  Her third album entitled, The Best Damn Thing (2007), has pushed Avril to iconic status as her singles "Girlfriend" and "When You're Gone" were staples on every music chart.  Avril Lavigne has also showed her talents as an actress as she lent her voice as Heather in the animated movie Over the Hedge (2006) and starred in the Richard Gere movie, The Flock (2007).
