Amy Winehouse BIO

Amy-Winehouse-1

It is an understatement to say that Amy Winehouse (born September 14th, 1983) is simply a talented singer and songwriter who shows influences of jazz, soul and rhythm and blues.  Born and raised in North London, Amy Winehouse's cool, refreshing sound has made everyone in the world stand-up and take notice of her ground-breaking music albums, starting with Frank in 2003, which included the award-winning debut singles, "Stronger Than Me" and "Take the Box".  Other notable singles on the album include "In My Bed" / "You Sent Me Flying" and "Pumps" / "Help Yourself".  Amy Winehouse later backed up her early success by releasing her second album Back to Black in 2007 with even more hit singles such as "Rehab", "Back to Black", "Tears Dry on Their Own" and "You Know I'm No Good".  Although sometimes portrayed as controversial and rebellious in the media, Amy Winehouse's unique and poignant lyrics cannot be denied.
